Getting Ready For Camp

My child requires a Camper Aide to accompany them at camp. How do I start this process?

Camper aides are welcome at camp, but must be approved by Galileo at least 14 days prior to the start of camp and complete a Live Scan background check before camp begins. If you select Camp Aid in your Health History, you will be sent a welcome letter of how to complete the process and what to expect at camp.

My child has a friend that they would like to be grouped with. How can I ensure they are placed in the same group?

You will have the opportunity to request one friend be grouped with your camper when filling out your child’s health history information. All grouping requests must be submitted by Friday at 9AM the week before camp begins. We will group siblings together if they’re in the same age group. We try our best to honor grouping requests and make sure campers are grouped with at least one friend. If we missed your request, please ask your Camp Director and we will do our best to accommodate.

How do I add additional weeks to my camp schedule?

Visit your camp location page for up-to-the minute availability at your site. Space permitting, you can sign up for additional weeks by 7AM on the Friday before the week you want to attend.

How do I add extended care?

The regular camp day starts at 9am and ends at 3pm. If you would like to extend the day, you can do so by adding Extended Care to your registration—we have both morning and afternoon options. Log in to your account [add description on how to add].

What should I prepare the week before camp begins?

Before 9am the Friday before camp begins:

Log in to your account and review your registration details, including Health History

Check that you have included all the right adults as emergency/authorized pick-up contacts.

Make sure you’ve signed up for extended care if you need it!

Is there anything I need to do between enrolling and showing up on the first day of camp?

Yes. Log into your account HERE and review your enrollment details. Check your camper’s emergency contacts and t-shirt size and confirm that you’ve signed up for extended care if you need it. If you see discrepancies or have questions, please contact our customer service team here.

Is lunch provided?

Lunch is not provided. All campers are required to bring a nut-free snack and packed lunch from home. We also recommend that you pack a refillable water bottle for your camper.

What should my camper wear/bring to camp?
  • Wear casual clothing that can get dirty and comfortable shoes for indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Bring a nut-free snack and lunch and a water bottle (plus a second snack for afternoon extended care, if needed).
  • Arrive with sunscreen already applied and bring a hat and additional sunscreen.
What should my camper bring for Water Day on Thursdays?

Campers should show up with bathing suits under their clothes, closed-toe shoes (water shoes are a great option), a towel and sunscreen.
